The Urban Farm Residence is a live/work residential building in Bed-Stuy Brooklyn, consisting of 150 modular units.
The “work” aspect of this live/work building is the urban farm which is made up of individual unit gardens, protruding common space greenhouses, vertical hydroponic walls, and outdoor gardens.
Communal kitchens stem off of the greenhouses to create a farm-to-table experience for the residents.
Common spaces bridge the atrium between units to allow maximum light throughout the building.
The ground floor of the building hosts a community market and cafe where the food grown by the residents is prepared and sold to the community.
